  1. SAVE THE LAST DANCE FOR ME, the first book in her Maitland Maidens series, is Ms Lee s debut work which was originally published in the anthology, Sweet Summer Kisses.Antiquarian Benedict Grey is tongue tied and awkward at society events and only too aware that he bores everyone to death Circumstances require him to marry and produce an heir but he know he lacks the necessary social skills to court a potential wife.Believing he is terminally ill, Lady Honoria Maitland s father wants his daughter [...]

  2. Loved this novella and read it in one sitting before going to sleep This was a lovely, easy reading story based on the friends to lovers trope and the development of that new relationship, in 77 pages, was achieved in a way that was both credible and heart warming I loved the hero in particular by no means a man whore or rake, but a genuine man who actually read like a real man This is a clean, but make you feel darned good story the type that makes you exhale on a long, slow sigh of deep satisf [...]

  3. Honoria needs to marry so her father can die in peace knowing his daughter will be cared for Benedict needs to marry because he needs an heir Honoria and Benedict were childhood friends, so when they meet again Honoria offers a plan that will benefit both of them Benedict agrees to this plan The problems begin when one of them falls in love with the other one This is a very sweet story and definitely worth reading.

  4. This was a nice read, but it was a bit too cheesy in the end for my taste The highlight was the hero for me.

  5. Save the Last Dance for Me 2015 is 1 in the Maitland Maidens series by Cora Lee, and is her first published work It s available in the Sweet Summer Kisses collection of sweet Regency novellas Set in November 1812 in London, I enjoyed this story very much.Benedict Grey, 28, has been in Greece for most of the past six years on archaeology expeditions He s now home, not wanting to be stranded in a foreign country with two wars going on His cousin, the Marquess of Whitby, announces that his wife is [...]

  6. Best of FriendsBenedict and Honoria were childhood friends As adults, they worked together to help each other with their respective problems I enjoyed the manner in which the author developed their characters and moved the plot forward The story was well written and the romance elements sweet An enjoyable read.

  7. An extremely short, but enjoyable Regency romanceI had expected this novel to be longer, but I read it in about an hour and a half The hero is extremely appealing and far carefully drawn than the heroine, which is unusual I think there was room for plot development, but it is a debut novel and as such, it is an excellent introduction to the author s skills.

  8. Short and sweet Easily read in one sitting, Last Dance is very short but surprisingly complete It is also very sweet, but with enough tension to make the happily ever after completely satisfying.

  9. Best historical romance debut since Grace Burrowes Loved the dialogue, pacing, level of description, the characters My only question is when will book two arrive

  10. Regency novellaThis was a fine way to pass a little time It s perfectly straightforward, and it gets the job done, but it s nothing exciting.

  11. This is a very short and enjoyable rengency It was clean but not prudish I think it is the authors first published book She did very well Read it.

  12. A short novella and a nice sweet Regency story that is well written Perfect to read as a break between larger novels.
